# Redirects Documents And Other Folders To OneDrive For Business

space.vars.PRODUCT\_NAME
can redirect the standard Windows folders (Desktop, Documents, Images, Music and Videos) to OneDrive for Business automatically when a user signs in to Windows.

This can provide for an easier transition for the user from on-premises to the cloud; for example, if they are used to working with their files in the Documents folder in Windows File Explorer, they can still do so, but with the benefit their files are now saved to OneDrive for Business instead of the local file server.

The
space.vars.PRODUCT\_NAME
subscription administrator configures the folder redirections centrally through the administration console. By default folder redirections will be applied to all users on all computers where
space.vars.PRODUCT\_NAME
is activated. Administrators can limit folder redirections to be applied to specific groups of users or only to hot desk computers and desktop servers (I.e. computers with non-persistent environments).

For more information on how to configure folder redirection, see [Redirect Windows Folders to OneDrive for Business](/administration-guide/redirect-windows-folders-to-onedrive-for-business.md).
