Licence Desktop Servers

Zee Drive supports activation on desktop servers such as RDS, Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop. There are two components to licencing Zee Drive for a desktop server environment:
Shared Computer Licences - these licences are assigned to the licence pool. They are concurrent licences and determine the maximum number of concurrent users permitted on the servers by Zee Drive. If there are no available licences remaining in the licence pool, Zee Drive will report an error when a user signs in to the servers
User Licences - either Shared Computer User Licences or Personal Computer User Licences. User licences are named licences and are required to set up a user on your . If a user is not set up on your Zee Drive subscription, then Zee Drive will not start up successfully for the user
The relationship between user licences and shared computer licences is not necessarily one to one. You may have many users, but only a subset of those users will be on the desktop servers at any one time (the concurrency). E.g. There are 20 users in the organisation that sign in to your desktop server infrastructure, but, only a maximum of 16 users will be concurrent.
In this scenario, you would require 20 user licences, but only 16 shared computer licences in the licence pool.
Zee Drive has two types of user licence:
Personal Computer User Licence
Shared Computer User Licence
A user can be assigned only one type of user licence. The personal computer user licence includes all the attributes of the shared computer user licence, and, it permits the user assigned the licence to activate Zee Drive on up to 3 computers.
The shared computer user licence is valid only for computers activated as a desktop server or hot desk computer.
If a user will only require Zee Drive on a desktop server or hot desk computer, then assign the user a shared computer user licence. If the user also requires Zee Drive on their personal computer AND the desktop servers or hot desk computers, then assign the user a personal computer user licence.
Your organisation has 30 users all requiring Zee Drive. 20 users require Zee Drive on your organisation's AVD environment. The other 10 require Zee Drive only on their personal computers. The maximum number of concurrent users expected on AVD is 16.
Of the 20 users on the AVD environment, 10 of those users also have personal computers.
Thus the licencing would be:
16 shared computer licences for the licence pool for AVD as there are a maximum of 16 concurrent users expected
20 personal computer user licences as there are 20 users in total with personal computers. 10 of these users also require Zee Drive on AVD, however, the personal computer user licence is valid for AVD too
10 shared computer user licences for the users that only require Zee Drive on AVD but don't have a personal computer
