Group Targeting
Network drives and virtual folders can optionally be targeted to specific groups of users so that they will only be mapped to a user's computer if they are a member, or not a member, of a given group.
For example; you can target a network drive for users in a given department, or users in a regional office location.
By default, when setting up a new network drive or virtual folder via the administration console, it will be mapped for all users set up on your Zee Drive subscription. Here's how to override the default setting and target a network drive to a group of users instead:
From the administration console, click the action button and then click "Add or manage your network drives"

In this example, I'm changing an existing network drive that is currently mapped for all users. I want to restrict it so that it will only map for users that are based in the New York head office. To change an existing drive (or virtual folder) select it then click the action button and click the option "Change this network drive". You can also configure group targeting whilst creating a new network drive or virtual folder

Click the Next button to skip changing the server name/share name and drive letter and you should be on the group targeting page as below. The previous setting was "Show network drive to everyone" but for this example I want to restrict the network drive to only those users in a new group I will create called New York. In this case I select the "Show network drive only to users in the selected groups" option. An alternative option is to choose the "except" option; this reverses the behaviour so a drive will not map for members of a group. Click the Select Groups button

Assuming you have not used group targeting yet, then likely you will not have any groups set up on your subscription. So the first task is to set up a group and add the members. Click the Manage Groups button

Now click the action button and click the "Create a new group" option

Enter your group name. In this case, New York. Click the Create button to create the group

The busy indicator will show briefly during group creation

Your group has now been created. We'll need to add members to the group so click the action button then click the option "Add or remove members from this group"

As the group has only just been created, it will be empty. Let's add users to the New York group. Click the action button and then click the option "Add users to this group"

A list of users that are set up on your subscription will be displayed. Select the users to add as members of the group. In my example, there are two users in the New York office so select those and click the Add button

A busy indicator will show briefly then a confirmation message the users were added. Click the Return button

We're done adding members to the group so click the Go Back button

And, we're done managing our groups, so click the Go Back button again

Now we have spent a little time setting up the group and the members we can now select that group as the target for our network drive. After selecting the group, click the Confirm button

We're now back a the group targeting page which shows a summary of the number of groups selected. You can select multiple groups as a target for the network drive. Click the Next button

We don't want to make any changes to our network drive connection so click the Apply Changes button. Note this drive is connected to "Nothing" as it contains virtual folders

Now you're ready to publish the group targeting changes. Click the Publish button and on the next screen, click Publish Now. After publishing your group targeting changes, it will take effect for users when they next sign in to Windows or restart Zee Drive. In our example, for members of the New York group, when they next sign in to Windows they will see all three drives, Z:, P: and Y:, whereas users that are not members of the New York group will see only drives P: and Y:
